Which MacBook is Right for You?

When it comes to buying a MacBook, there are a few options that you should consider so that you will know which MacBook is right for you. For all of that do not know, there is a MacBook, a MacBook Air, and a MacBook Pro. Three factors that come to mind are specifications, size, and price. No matter what you have in mind for your new MacBook, there is going to be one that is right for you.

First off, lets look at specifications. The Original MacBook comes with 2.1GHz or 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 1GB or 2GB memory, 120GB, 160GB, or 250GB 5400-rpm hard drive, and an Intel GMA X3100. The MacBook Air has 1.6GHz or 1.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB memory, 80GB 4200-rpm hard drive, an optional 64GB solid-state drive, and an Intel GMA X3100. If you more, more, more, then there is the MacBook Pro. The MacBook Pro comes complete with 2.4GHz, 2.5GHz or 2.6GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB memory, 200GB or 250GB 5400-rpm hard drive, a NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT, and 256MB or 512MB SDRAM.

If you are looking for size, of course the MacBook Air is the thinnest and lightest MacBook that you are going to find. It is 0.16 to 0.76 inches thin and a measly 3.0pounds. The Original MacBook is a bit larger at 1.08 inches thin and 5.0 pounds. And the largest of course is the MacBook Pro at 1 inch thin and 5.4 or 6.8 pounds. The main reason for weight difference is the 15 or 17 inch screen option. The other two are going to be the more standard 13.3 inch screens.

If price is your deciding factor, the best that you are going to do for a new MacBook is going to be achieved by going with the Original MacBook. For a new Original you should expect to pay anywhere from $1099. If you want the thinner, more sleek design option of the MacBook Air, you should expect to pay about $1799 and up. If price is no factor, and you are looking for the biggest and the best laptop that Apple has to offer look no further than the MacBook Pro, and expect to pay anywhere from $1999 and go up from there.

I hope that this information is helpful to you when you are searching for a new MacBook. No matter what MacBook you decide to run with, you will not be let down. Apple prides itself in providing the highest quality available, and once you have one, you will not regret it. Good Luck in your search!
